The Longues abbey opens its doors from May 1st to August 10th and a rich program of events awaits you this summer .

✅ 7 & 8 mai (Saturday and Sunday) : As in previous years, the Abbey is associated with the “Neurodon”.
✅ 21 mai from 9pm to midnight (Friday) : “Pierres en lumières”, event organised by the Calvados Department, visit with paper guide pamphlet of the Abbey illuminated.
June
✅ 3, 4 & 5 juin (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) : “rendez-vous aux jardins”, event organised by the Ministry of Culture.
July
✅ 25 Juillet at 5pm (Monday): Conference on “Religious communities in the 18th century in the Bessin: decline and monastic renewal” (in French) by Father Michel Turmel open access, optional donation for restoration fund.
August
✅ 6 August (Saturday): Open air screening of Jean Paul Rappeneau’s film “La vie de château” (Catherine Deneuve, Philippe Noiret, Pierre Brasseur, etc).
✅ 15 August at 10:30 am (Monday): Parish mass of the Assumption.
✅ 25 August (Thursday) at 6.00 pm: Concert “Les Embruns de Musique”, string quartet of the ensemble “La Tempesta”. To reserve, please contact the following number: +33 (0)2 31 22 17 44. Optional donation for restoration fund.
September
- 16 September 11:00 am (Wednesday): official inauguration of the restoration work with the DRAC, the elected representatives, the Fondation du Patrimoine (by invitation) and others.
- 17 & 18 September (Heritage Days): numerous events including visits to the site by the archaeologist Jean-Baptiste Vincent; a conference on Saturday from 5pm to 7pm about the excavations done during the restoration of the choir.

You can rent the “Monks’ Refectory” by contacting us at abbayedelongues14@gmail.com. In addition to reserving the refectory for a meal, you can also plan a “VIP” visit in French or English with the owners.
